About the Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven professional to join the Warehouse Team at Parklea Correctional Centre, which houses up to 1000 remand and sentenced maximum and minimum security inmates.
As a casual Stores Officer, your role provides assistance with warehouse functions in the Centre. The Stores Officer assists in receiving goods from outside suppliers, distribution of goods to internal locations, checking and verifying delivery dockets/invoices against purchase orders and liaising with accounts department for payment, monitoring usage of consumable stocks, assist in Stock take process and assisting with general administration tasks.
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Possess a Fork Lift Licence. (Essential)
- Extensive experience in a large store or warehouse environment.
- Experience in stock control and management.
- Experience with a variety of computer software applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organisational skills.
- Ability to work within a correctional setting, which will involve direct contact with prisoners.
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence. (Essential)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Available to work outside of ordinary business hours on occasion.
The shifts will be Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
